Manchester United are reportedly planning to sign three Premier League stars for a combined £150 million as the Red Devils look to bolster their squad ahead of the 2026/27 season.

The summer of 2026 promises to be a crucial one for the future of Manchester United. With current head coach Michael Carrick contracted until the end of the 2025/26 season, a decision on his future – or lack of it – will need to be made by the club’s hierarchy.

Three games into the Carrick era, United look like a team rejuvenated after wins against Manchester City, Arsenal and Fulham in January and early February, which has seen the 20-time English champions go fourth in the Premier League after 24 matches this term.

The summer additions of Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha have improved United’s attack, with the duo contributing a combined 15 goals between them since arriving from Brentford and Wolves, respectively.

Meanwhile, fellow summer signing Benjamin Sesko is still getting used to life at Old Trafford, although he did score a late winner against Fulham last time out, which secured United all three points and kept Carrick’s winning run going.

Goalkeeper Senne Lammens has also performed consistently since arriving from Royal Antwerp, but United could soon add a further three players to the squad this summer.

As reported by Fichajes, United are keen to add young talent to their ranks by signing Nottingham Forest midfielder Elliot Anderson, Newcastle left-back Lewis Hall, and Bournemouth attacking midfielder Alex Scott.

Anderson has impressed since joining Forest from Newcastle in 2024, winning six caps for Thomas Tuchel’s England. The 23-year-old is contracted to Forest until June 2029 and would likely be worth more than £80 million.

Scott, 22, who has yet to be capped by England despite being called up to the training squad in November 2025, has also impressed under Andoni Iraola’s tutelage on the south coast, although how he fits into United’s current starting XI is unclear, given Bruno Fernandes is Carrick’s preferred attacking midfielder.

Scott is contracted to Bournemouth until 2028 and would likely be a cheaper alternative to Anderson.

Newcastle’s Hall, 21, is also of interest to United, with his arrival potentially allowing Patrick Dorgu to develop into an offensive player after impressing in a winger’s role under Carrick.

Hall is contracted to Newcastle until June 2029 and is currently valued at £27 million by Transfermarkt.
