Fans all say the same thing after Man United lose against Tottenham Hotspur

Fans are all saying the same thing after Manchester United’s Premier League clash against Tottenham Hotspur.

After clinching a narrow 1-0 win against Wolverhampton Wanderers at Old Trafford on Monday night, Erik ten Hag’s men travelled to North London looking to produce a much better performance.

Facing Ange Postecoglou’s Spurs side, United had a glorious chance to go 1-0 up but Bruno Fernandes managed to miss the target from close range.

In the second half, Spurs hit the front after Pape Sarr scored in the 49th minute.

After that, United tried to get back into the match as Ten Hag brought on the likes of Jadon Sancho, Christian Eriksen and Diogo Dalot.

However, the men in red were unable to break down the stubborn Spurs defence.

And with 83 minutes on the clock, Spurs doubled their lead after Lisandro Martinez diverted the ball into his own net.

Postecoglou’s men managed to hold out for a much needed 2-0 win.

During the match, many fans were critical of United’s performance on social media.

One said: “Manchester United are so so bad.”

Another tweeted: “My suspicions were correct, Man United are still awful.”

A third fan added: “Good lord Man united are absolutely awful.”

Somoene else wrote: “Man United are so bad bro. They’re getting dominated in the midfield by spurs.”

Whilst a fifth commented: “This is absolutely awful from Man United. All that money spent and no progression, really really bad.”

Another United fan said: "This is what I fear after our match against Wolves. We were awful on Monday and arguably even worse today, embarrassing performance from start to finish."

Former United defender Gary Neville said on Sky Sports: “It's far too easy. It's embarrassing from United but very good from Spurs. They deserve their two-goal lead.”

United will be back in action next Saturday as they take on Nottingham Forest.
