Manchester United have become the latest Premier League team to announce their retained list.

After a largely disappointing 23/24 season, United are heading into the summer with the future of manager Erik ten Hag up in the air.

On Wednesday morning, the Old Trafford club announced their retained list ahead of the transfer window.

The club confirmed that veterans Jonny Evans and Tom Heaton remain in discussion over a potential new deal at the club. Whilst Omari Forson has formally been offered a new contract.

The likes of Anthony Martial, Raphael Varane and Brandon Williams will depart Old Trafford.

A statement on the club’s official website read: “As announced last month, Anthony Martial is leaving the club after making 317 appearances. Fellow Frenchman Raphael Varane is also departing following three seasons at Old Trafford.

“Academy graduate, Brandon Williams will leave United following the expiry of his contract. The full-back, who joined the club at the age of nine and proudly went on to make 51 first-team appearances, will always be welcome back at the club through the Alumni programme.”

In addition, United have also confirmed that Charlie McNeill, Marcus Lawrence and Kie Plumley will leave the club at the end of their current deals.

The statement added: “Under-21s player-coach Tom Huddlestone will also depart, having provided excellent support to our young players during the last two seasons in the innovative role.”

Despite a largely poor campaign, United did manage to end their season on a high after beating rivals Manchester City in the FA Cup final at Wembley. As a result, they will be playing in the Europa League in the 24/25 season.
