Fans all say the same thing after seeing Nottingham Forest’s opening goal vs Man United

It has been a tough start for Man United

Fans are all saying the same thing after seeing Nottingham Forest’s opener against Manchester United.

Last weekend, United put in a dismal performance as they fell to a 2-0 defeat against Tottenham Hotspur in North London.

On Saturday, the Red Devils produced a horror show in the first four minutes as Taiwo Awoniyi and Willy Boly gave Forest a shock 2-0 lead.

For their first goal, Awoniyi was on the end of a blistering counter attack that started from a corner for United.

However, fans were quick to point out Onana’s role in the goal.

One said: “What on earth was Onana doing?!”

Another tweeted: “David De Gea is sat at home without a club and Onana is doing this. United need to swallow their pride and give him a ring.”

A third fan added: “WHAT WAS ONANA DOING ???”

Someone else wrote: “Onana is not serious lmao what is he doing.”

Whilst a fifth commented: “WHAT WAS ONANA doing in Awoniyi’s opening goal PLS TELL ME?”

Another fan said: “That was unbelievably bad from Onana, guy just sat down? What was that??”

United did manage to get back into the match after Christian Eriksen halved the deficit with 17 minutes on the clock, the Danish international was in the right place at the right time to finish some tidy work by Marcus Rashford.

Casemiro then squandered a huge chance to make it 2-2 after he missed a close range header whilst being unmarked.

Etik ten Hag's men went into the half time interval 2-1 down and were greeted by slight boos from a clearly disgruntled Old Trafford crowd.

United fans had hoped that their team would make a much better start to the 23/24 season after a summer transfer window that resulted in the signins of Mason Mount, Andre Onana and Rasmus Hojlund.

However, their optimism was quickly distinguished by the early poor performances.
