Footage of what Pep Guardiola did to a Tottenham Hotspur star after Manchester City's crucial win has got fans talking.

Man City took a huge step towards winning a record-breaking fourth successive Premier League title by beating Tottenham 2-0 on Tuesday.

City failed to score in any of their five previous visits to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, but an Erling Haaland brace earned Pep Guardiola's side a priceless win.

City are now two points ahead of title challengers Arsenal, meaning victory against West Ham on the final day will clinch the title.

It was a largely uncomfortable evening for Guardiola, whose side failed to find their rhythm in the first half.

Haaland broke the deadlock shortly after half-time when he tapped home Kevin de Bruyne's cross, before he converted an injury-time penalty to wrap up the win.

Moments away City came close to throwing the game away when Son Heung-Min raced through on goal, but substitute goalkeeper Stefan Ortega produced a fine stop.

The image of Guardiola sinking to the ground will surely be a meme for years to come.

The City boss couldn't contain his emotions after the final whistle either, when he was spotted in conversation with Spurs defender Cristian Romero.

The Argentina international collided with City goalkeeper Ederson in the second half, an incident that saw the Brazilian withdrawn with a suspected concussion.

At the final whistle Guardiola held an animated conversation with Romero, with the manager pushing him in the chest and the defender laughing in response.

The interaction appeared to be good natured, sparking fears among some Spurs fans that the City manager was trying to poach their star.

"Now that everything is over. Pep don't even dare. He is going nowhere," one fan wrote on X.

Another said: "Stay away, he's ours," while a third supporter wrote: "Lifetime contract please I love this guy too much."
