Tijjani Reijnders in 'advanced talks' for unthinkable move with Premier League club interested
Tijjani Reijnders looks set to leave Manchester City this summer with a club that nobody would have expected in 'advanced talks' for his signature.
Ahead of the 2025/26 season, Manchester City secured what many believed to be the signing of the summer after agreeing a €55million (£46.3m) deal with AC Milan for Netherlands international Reijnders.
The midfielder was widely regarded as one of the most promising players in Europe, and arrived to the Etihad to much fanfare.
However, things haven't exactly worked out as planned for the 28-year-old, who found himself out of favour last season, starting in just 34 of his 50 appearances for Man City in all competitions.

Despite this, it came as a surprise when reports emerged suggesting that Reijnders could leave Man City this summer, despite the contract he signed last summer keeping him at the club until mid-2030.
When the news broke, it was widely reported that a move within the Premier League appeared to be most likely, with Nottingham Forest said to be keen on securing his signature.
But now, it's been revealed that Saudi Pro League side Al Qadsiah are in advanced talks with Manchester City to complete a deal for Reijnders.
According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, a club to club agreement for a fee around €60M (£51.3) is close, with the final stages to be completed soon.
Should City and Al Qadsiah agree on the deal, the decision will ultimately come down to Reijnders, who would have to give a green light for the move to progress further.
If he were to make the move, he would fellow Netherlands international teammate Crysencio Summerville, who also made the move to the Saudi Pro League, joining Al Hilal, despite links with several Premier League sides.

Should City cash in on Reijnders just one year after signing him, it could allow City manager Enzo Maresca to pursue another top Premier League midfielder top of his transfer targets.
As well as pursuing Chelsea star Enzo Fernandez as a potential replacement for Rodri, who has been heavily linked with a move to Barcelona, it is believed that Liverpool's Alexis Mac Allister is another player on City's radar.
According to talkSPORT, the World Cup winner is among the potential options being explored by City as Maresca head into his first season as City boss.
Mac Allister returned to Liverpool training on Monday after helping Argentina reach the World Cup final and he is looking to impress Iraola after a disappointing campaign last season.
The 27-year-old saw his form and performances dip under Arne Slot after playing a key role in taking the Reds to their second Premier League title in 2025.
However, later reports have suggested that Mac Allister is 'not likely' to leave Anfield and will likely play a 'key part' in Iraola's squad, with a move only possible if Liverpool first sign a replacement.
