A second Manchester City player has been told that 'he is not wanted by the club' following their ruthless Kevin De Bruyne decision.

De Bruyne is set to end his legendary spell with Man City when his contract expires this summer.

He has been incredibly influential, inspiring the Blues to six Premier League titles not to mention the Champions League in their treble-winning campaign in 2023.

A shock club has entered the mix to sign the 33-year-old on a free transfer.

Speaking after Man City's 2-0 win at Everton last Saturday, De Bruyne admitted to being a 'little bit' shocked at not being offered a new deal at the Etihad.

Asked if he was shocked, he replied: "A little bit, yeah, a little bit.

"I have not had any offer the whole year, they just took a decision. Obviously, I was a bit surprised but I just have to accept it. Honestly, I still think I can perform at this level like I’m showing but I understand clubs have to make decisions."

The Belgian midfielder added: "I still have a lot to give. Obviously I know I’m not 25 any more but I still feel like I can do my job."

De Bruyne isn't the only player set to leave Man City this summer as a second player is thought to be on his way out, too.

According to Sacha Tavolieri, Man City have 'told' Bernardo Silva that his future lies away from the current English champions.

Tavolieri wrote: "Manchester City have reportedly already told the Portuguese midfielder that he was part of the downsizing plan and that the time had come for him to move on."

Silva, who turns 31 in August, has attracted interest from Benfica, where he began his career, and Barcelona, who have been long-time admirers.

Clubs in Saudi Arabia are also keeping tabs on his situation.

Silva has been at Man City since the summer of 2017 and has played 397 games across all competitions for the club, winning a host of trophies.

But it appears his time in Manchester is coming to an end.

Man City 'frontrunners' for Premier League star as they look to replace De Bruyne and Silva

Man City are already on the hunt to replace De Bruyne and Silva when the transfer window reopens this summer.

According to The Daily Mail, Pep Guardiola's side are 'frontrunners' in the pursuit of Morgan Gibbs-White.

Gibbs-White, 25, has starred for Nottingham Forest this season, attracting interest from a series of clubs, including Manchester United and Liverpool.

Man City, however, are leading the race to sign the England international.
