Manchester City fans are convinced that there has been a fallout between two of their top players after spotting a damning moment during the shock loss to Nottingham Forest.

Defending Premier League champions Man City fell short as they travelled away from home to face a high-flying Nottingham Forest side on Saturday morning.

Several players struggled to find their feet during the match, as City failed to capitalise on the 70% possession they enjoyed in the match, allowing Callum Hudson-Odoi to secure to win for the home side late in the match.

But now, City fans have turned on one player as damining footage from the match has left them thinking that he must have fallen out with one of his teammates

Ahead of the match, City fans were surprised to see star January signing Omar Marmoush named on the bench for the match given his impressive start to life at the Etihad.

The Egyptian forward was later introduced as a substitue for Savinho shortly after the hour mark, and fans quickly noticed that teammate Bernardo Silva was clearly refusing to pass to Marmoush throughout the match.

In a clip that has gone viral online following the match, a fan pointed out three examples where Marmoush has made himself clearly available but Silva decided to pass the ball elsewhere, and fans aren't happy about it.

Reacting to the clip on social media platform X, one fan wrote: "Bro look at Marmoush screaming for the ball, then look at Bernardo taking 7000 touches with his head down, guys useless."

Another admitted: "I was literally screaming at him at some point. Even me, sitting at home, I could see that Marmoush was trying to say pass the ball."

While one fan suggested: "He does this regularly, he mustn't like Marmoush. Always passes sideways and back."

And another took this even further, adding: "They must all hate him."

Since arriving at City on January 23, Marmoush has made nine appearances in all competitions for his new club, with his only goals being his spectacular hat trick in the Premier League match against Newcastle United last month.
