Fans think Pep Guardiola was giving coaching session to Adama Traore after Man City vs Fulham game

Traore missed a huge opportunity to equalise for Fulham.

Pep Guardiola made a beeline for Adama Traore after Manchester City recorded a far-from-convincing 3-2 win over Fulham – and fans were quick to discuss their conversation.

City struggled to put the game to bed against a dogged Fulham side but goals from Mateo Kovacic [2] and Jeremy Doku helped keep the pressure on Liverpool at the Premier League summit.

Marco Silva's side opened the scoring through Andreas Pereira after a sublime backheel assist from Raul Jimenez, although it didn't take long for the hosts to equalise through Kovacic.

Fulham could have made City pay on numerous occasions, with Adama Traore missing two huge chances, including a one-on-one opportunity against Ederson, who parried away with ease.

City went on to secure all three points but one of the biggest talking points was Traore's lack of composure in front of goal.

In fact, after the full-time whistle, City boss Pep Guardiola could be seen speaking to former Barcelona winger Traore for a relatively lengthy period.

Here's how fans on social media reacted to the scene.

One said: "I assume Pep is coaching up Adama after those missed chances. I love this, and I love how Adama is clearly listening."

A second wrote: "Final decision is affecting Traore so bad, he’s a dedicated player he just need to work on his execution."

A third commented: "Pep Guardiola loves football so much that after Traoré kept missing chances, he went over at full time to coach the opponent player."

A fourth said: "Traore missed 2 big chances against Man City. After the game, Guardiola went to coach him on how to score those chances against Man City’s rival. Thing though is, Traore is all speed and no goal sense, Pep can’t change that."

A fifth added: "It's not a gimmick. Adama is from La Masia so Pep probably cares more about him than any of his own players."
