Paul Scholes has posted a hilarious x-rated comment about a player during Juventus' 2-0 win over Manchester City in the Champions League.

Manchester City's terrible run of form continued on Wednesday night as they were beaten convincingly by Serie A giants Juventus at the Allianz Stadium.

The result leaves the Premier League champions in 22nd out of 36 teams in the format, putting them barely within the teams ranked 9th-24th who will compete in play off matches to progress to the next round.

And while watching their performance against Juventus, former Manchester United midfielder Scholes posted a x-rated comment about one of the Italian side's players on social media.

On his Instagram story, Scholes posted clapping emoji and wrote: "Who the f*** is this Yildiz."

Juventus forward Kenan Yildiz was one of the standout players for the Serie A side during the match, assisting Dusan Vlahovic's opening goal for the hosts.

The 19-year-old also registered three shots during the match.

Wednesday night was just Yildiz's sixth European appearance, having scoring the opening goal in the 3-1 victory over Dutch side PSV, his European debut.

In doing so, the Turkish international became the youngest player to score in Juventus' history, taking the title from club legend Alessandro Del Piero.

Speaking ahead of the game, the forward said: "It’s a dream come true.

“It’s a big game for me, so I will give my best for the team. As I said before, I hope it will be good.

“Man City is a great team. Two years ago, they won the Champions League. If I have to pick a role model, it’s probably Haaland, but it’s an honour to play against them.

“The Champions League is a historic thing. I always try to work hard and I am happy to be here,” continued Yildiz.

“I had goosebumps the first time I heard the anthem. Tomorrow is another great game and I hope I can give my best and help my team.

“The season is still long. I don’t know where we’ll end [in the Champions League], but we’ll try to give our best.”
