Manchester City have dropped a video announcing their tour of the United States, with the interaction between Erling Haaland and WWE legend John Cena going viral.

Pep Guardiola's side will be crossing the pond this summer for a series of four matches. City will face Scottish giants Celtic on July 23 to get things started.

They'll then challenge AC Milan on July 27 before taking on sister club New York City FC on July 28. Finally, the current Premier League champions go at it with Barcelona.

Guardiola managed the Catalan giants between 2008 and 2012, winning two Champions League titles. City decided to go big with the announcement and enlisted the help of Cena. It's the wildest crossover of 2024 and you can check it out below.

In the video, Haaland sits down to take a FaceTime from his number one fan. Unexpectedly, he finds 16-time world champion and Hollywood superstar Cena on the other line.

The 'Leader of the Cenation' says: "Erling, it's me, John Cena. How are you?"

A confused Haaland replies: "How come I can't see you?"

Quick as a flash, Cena repeats his WWE catchphrase of: "You can't see me?" It got a chuckle out of Haaland, who for sure watched Monday Night RAW back in the day. With the camera off, Haaland runs down the dates City will be coming Stateside. An ecstatic Cena runs around the room, sporting a City shirt way too tight for him and the finest blond wig money can buy.

The camera then comes back on, with Norway striker Haaland finally seeing what Cena is dressed like. It's the most emotion we've seen from him since he moved to England in 2022.

Supporters online have had their say on the video. More than anything, they're confused.

One person said: "Top tier marketing."

Someone tweeted: "John Cena is completing side quests at this point."

Another added: "This made me cringe a little bit I can't lie."

While someone put: "Haaland has a career in acting when he retires."

Haaland looked shocked. (

City are currently third in the Premier League table.

They ran out 2-0 winners over Newcastle United in the FA Cup on Saturday evening to book a place in the semi-finals at Wembley next month.

They return to action against Premier League leaders Arsenal on March 31st.
