John Textor, the outgoing Crystal Palace co-owner, made a somewhat surprising admission after being asked about Manchester City's ongoing 115 charges case involving the Premier League.
It remains one of the biggest talking points in football, more than two years on.
Back in February 2023, the Premier League charged Manchester City with breaking financial fair play rules on 115 occasions over a nine-year period.

City allegedly failed to provide accurate financial information, according to the Premier League, while the club have denied any wrongdoing, claiming they have an "irrefutable body of evidence" that will prove them innocent.
A private hearing was held in December but a verdict has still not been reached, with suggestions that a timeframe between the hearing and the judgment would take months given the sheer volume of information involved.
In the meantime, talkSPORT have discussed the topic with a number of guests, including sports lawyer Mo Pasricha, who recently provided a fresh insight into the case.
John Textor, the outgoing Crystal Palace co-owner who has agreed to sell his stake in the club to New York Jets owner Woody Johnson, was also asked about the 115 charges case while appearing on talkSPORT's White & Jordan show on Thursday.
Jim White brought up the topic by asking: "What is the talk of Manchester City's charges at boardroom level or among elite businessman like yourself?"

Textor proceeded to admit that he doesn't even know what the charges are.
"I hate to disappoint you but I haven't even thought of it," Textor replied. "I've never read the charges, I don't think of the charges. It's a little-known secret I was a City fan since before they were even owned by Abu Dhabi – my kids grew up in City gear.
"I'm a little disappointed that their success has come largely off of money because I was a fan before they had money. Ian Bishop played there, he was one of the guys we brought to create my academy."
He added: "I like the old City more than I like the new City, but I don't know what the charges are. I don't have an opinion on it."
White then asked Textor about his opinion on who runs the Premier League - Richard Masters or the so-called 'Big Six'.

"I think this is where Steve Parish does really well," Textor added. "It always irritates me how he thinks he's the smartest guy in the room, but he is often the smartest guy in the room. He fights very hard for the bottom 14. There's a divide between the six and the bottom 14.
"Maybe that changes with Newcastle but I think there's a pretty good balance."
