Kyle Walker snubbed Erling Haaland in brutal comparison with Man City legend

Kyle Walker snubbed Erling Haaland when asked to pick between the Norwegian and a Manchester City legend.

Haaland arrived in Manchester last summer from German Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund.

Since then, the City superstar has been breaking records left, right and centre as he fired Pep Guardiola’s men to a historic treble.

During the 22/23 season, Haaland managed 52 goals and nine assists in 53 appearances across all competitions.

Despite that, Walker brutally snubbed Haaland when asked to pick between him and City great Sergio Aguero.

In a video that was first posted back in January, John Stones asked Walker: “Haaland or Aguero?”

Walker took next to no time as he instantly said: “Aguero.”

When explaining his decision, Walker said: “I only say Aguero so confidently because Haaland's done six months.

“I think his stats are phenomenal. He is incredible but what Aguero has done for the club, and I think for the Premier League, I have to say Aguero.”

Aguero first joined City from Atletico Madrid in a deal worth a reported £35 million back in 2011.

The Argentine went on to make 390 appearances across all competitions, scoring 260 goals.

During his time with City, Aguero got his hands on five Premier League titles, six League Cups, two FA Community Shields and one FA Cup.

In May 2021, Aguero left City for Barcelona but was forced to retire seven months later after being diagnosed with cardiac arrhythmia.

When announcing his retirement, Aguero said: “It is a very difficult moment. The decision I have made I have taken for my health, that is the main reason, because of the problem that I had a month-and-a-half ago.

“I was in good hands of the medical staff who have done their best and have told me the best thing would be to stop playing. So I made that decision about a week ago and I want to tell everyone I did everything possible to have hope, but there wasn't very much.”
