Man Utd fan confronts Bernardo Silva in public about Man City's 115 FFP charges

Man Utd fan confronts Bernardo Silva in public about Man City's 115 FFP charges

Bernardo Silva was approached by a Manchester United fan after Man City's fourth Premier League title in a row.

Bernardo Silva was confronted by a Manchester United fan in a video doing the rounds on social media.

The Portugal international helped Manchester City win a record-setting fourth Premier League title in a row on Sunday following a 3-1 win over West Ham at the Etihad Stadium.

As per usual City found their form in the business end of the season and embarked on an incredible unbeaten run to pip a fine Arsenal side to the title by two points.

But days after collecting a sixth Premier League winners' medal, Silva was approached by a United fan while in a pet shop shopping for necessities for his dog John.

The fan asked the former AS Monaco winger, "Bernardo, how does it feel to have 115 charges?"

Silva, who was on his phone at the time, did not offer a response to the fan but did appear to crack a smile.

Silva and City take on United at Wembley in the FA Cup final for the second consecutive season.

City can win the domestic double with victory on Saturday if they are able to defeat their rivals.

A hearing on the alleged 115 charges City face from the Premier League is expected to take place later this year, with the champions supremely confident of winning the case.

The eight-time Premier League champions are accused of breaching rules between nine-year period between 2009 and 2018.

If found guilty, it's been suggested that City could be hit with a points deduction - following on from punishments dished out to Everton and Nottingham Forest.

However, a new report from The Times claims that Pep Guardiola has been assured by City's top brass that the club will be cleared of all charges.

Khaldoon Al-Mubarak, Ferran Soriano and Txiki Begiristain are believed to have communicated to Guardiola, whose contract runs until 2025.
