Liverpool have reportedly identified Vitinha as a transfer target ahead of the January window as they 'explore potential reinforcements' to strengthen their midfield options.
It has been a year to remember for Vitinha, who finished third in the most recent Ballon d'Or standings after playing an integral role for Paris Saint-Germain in their treble-winning campaign.
The 25-year-old has impressed many onlookers, including Liverpool's scouting department, who have identified the former Wolves loanee as one of the most technically gifted midfielders in Europe.
In fact, the Reds are 'keeping a close eye' on Vitinha ahead of the January window, according to Caught Offside.

It is said that the midfielder's ability to dictate the tempo of a game, as well as his ball-carrying, make him an attractive option for Arne Slot’s system.

After a disappointing start to the 2025-26 campaign, the addition of Vitinha would certainly bring some much-needed composure to Liverpool's midfield, but a transfer would be difficult to pull off.
PSG are reluctant to part ways with the Portugal international, but a 'staggering' offer of around €130 million (£114m) could tempt the Ligue 1 champions into negotiations, according to the above report.
Others are also believed to be monitoring his situation in Paris, including Arsenal and Juventus, although Liverpool are only expected to make an approach if one of their current midfielders leaves in January.
Speaking after PSG's penalty shoot-out win over the Reds in March, Vitinha beamed about the Anfield atmosphere before hailing Liverpool as "a great team".
"It's not easy to play on this pitch, to play in this stadium, with the atmosphere supporting their team," he said after the full-time whistle. "They are truly a great team, and the truth is we are relieved, we are happy."

The midfielder was at his scintillating best at Anfield. He completed 103 of his 111 attempted passes while winning six ground duels throughout.
Thierry Henry was full of praise for the former Porto man. "This guy, Vitinha, plays a different sport. You know when you can control the tempo and rhythm of a game, that has to count for something," he said on TNT Sports.
“People always talk about the people who can do step overs and win the game but Vitinha, the way he controls the game, and defends, it’s a different sport.”
