He's told him it can never be released to the public.

Trent Alexander-Arnold has admitted Liverpool teammate Mohamed Salah is in possession of a video of him which he hopes will never see the light of day.

Alexander-Arnold and Salah have developed a special bond both on the pitch and off of it, having played together since the Egyptian's move to Anfield from Roma back in 2017.

Together they have won every major honour in club football including the Premier League and Champions League.

And they're on course to add more silverware to their respective trophy cabinets this season, with Liverpool top of both the Premier League and Champions League tables and also still in contention in the FA Cup and Carabao Cup.

There are doubts over the future of both players, however, with the Liverpool duo out of contract at the end of the season.

Negotiations remain ongoing over new deals for the pair and Virgil van Dijk, who could also leave on a free transfer in the summer as things stand.

Liverpool cannot afford to lose both Alexander-Arnold and Salah, who have a world-class partnership on the right-hand side of Arne Slot's team.

When asked if he's closer to Salah or Liverpool teammate Dominik Szoboszlai, Alexander-Arnold told Stadium Astro: "I'd say Mo if I'm honest. I'd say me and Mo.

"Just how long we've known each other and how long we've played together, our bond and connection, especially on the pitch. We just understand the way we play.

"Even though we could so many times, we never moan at each other. We just know each other's style of play."

The England international also revealed that he is often invited to Salah's home for tea but never cooks, adding that the Egyptian once filmed an embarrassing clip of him during one of his visits.

"Last time I went I was petrified because he's got cats and I don't like cats," added Alexander-Arnold.

"He's got a video which I've told him can never, ever come out. It can never come out.

"But he's basically got a video of me screaming because one of his cats jumps up near me! I'm screaming like 'Mo, help, help!'"

It remains to be seen whether Alexander-Arnold and Salah will both be at Anfield next season, along with Van Dijk.

Alexander-Arnold has been strongly linked with a move to Real Madrid, while the Saudi Pro League and PSG have been touted as potential destinations for Salah should he fail to sign a new deal.

The ongoing contract negotiations don't appear to be disrupting Liverpool, who are four points clear of Chelsea at the top of the Premier League with a game in hand.

They next face Leicester at home on Boxing Day before travelling to take on West Ham on Sunday.
