Footage of Trent Alexander-Arnold arriving at Liverpool training has emerged amid his Real Madrid transfer and it's got fans talking.

Alexander-Arnold is closing in on his stunning move to Real, who have made him a priority signing ahead of the summer transfer window.

Discussions over the free transfer are ongoing as the Spanish giants look to secure his services before the start of next season.

However, they could pay a fee to Liverpool for the right-back despite the player's contract expiring this summer.

Alexander-Arnold, meanwhile, was injured in his side's Champions League elimination to Paris Saint-Germain earlier this month, preventing him from representing England in their World Cup qualifiers.

He also missed Liverpool's Carabao Cup final defeat to Newcastle United.

Arne Slot will be without Alexander-Arnold for his team's Merseyside derby against Everton on Wednesday when they resume their Premier League campaign.

But Alexander-Arnold paid a visit to Liverpool's training centre ahead of returning to action.

The club captured the moment he arrived and greeted his teammates in a social media clip.

Alexander-Arnold shook hands with Cody Gakpo, Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai.

Fans, though, noticed how awkward the interactions were and reckon the Liverpool squad are upset with their teammate.

People also referenced Mac Allister's face when he interacted with Alexander-Arnold. They noticed Gakpo didn't look at him during their handshake, too.

One X user wrote: "They don't look happy."

A second said: "Look at Macca give him that look like he ain’t seen all the news..."

A third added: "They were some half hearted handshakes fr."

A fourth commented: "Look at Macca's face."

Another said: "Gakpo didn't even look at him."

Alexander-Arnold, 26, has spent his entire career at Liverpool, having graduated from the club's youth academy.

He has made 349 appearances for his boyhood club, inspiring them to Premier League and Champions League glory.

But it appears his time at Anfield is coming to an end, with a switch to Real thought to be on the cards.
