Liverpool fans have voiced their anger after seeing their side dealt a potential setback in their pursuit of the Premier League title.

Liverpool are currently second in the league, level on points with table-toppers Arsenal and one point ahead of defending champions Manchester City.

Jurgen Klopp has already confirmed he is leaving the club at the end of the season and his players will be desperate to secure him the title in his final campaign at Anfield.

But they have been dealt a potential setback following a series of fixture changes by the Premier League.

A new date has been set for the rescheduled Merseyside derby, and it leaves Liverpool with a difficult run of fixtures next month.

The match against Everton was originally meant to be played on March 17 but was postponed after Liverpool reached the quarter-finals of the FA Cup, where they were eventually beaten by rivals Manchester United.

The game at Goodison Park will now be played on Wednesday April 24 at 8pm, three days after Liverpool's trip to face Fulham at Craven Cottage on April 21 - with both games shown live on Sky Sports.

The late-kick off will no doubt frustrate Liverpool, who travel to face West Ham in yet another 12.30pm kick-off on April 27 – three days after the Merseyside derby, with the match to be shown on TNT Sports.

Klopp has previously criticised the number of early Saturday games Liverpool have been forced to play in comparison to their rivals, with the Reds having more 12.30pm starts than any other club since the German took over at Anfield.

Fans were quick to voice their anger on social media at the latest fixture changes, with some fearing it could impact their title chances in Klopp's final season at the club.

"What a p*** take schedule that is," posted one angry supporter on X.

Another added: "Disgusting schedule."

"They can keep trying to derail our season not going to happen," added another.

While a fourth wrote: "Them 3 away games make me sick."

Liverpool next face Brighton at Anfield on Sunday March 31, before games against Sheffield United and Manchester United in the coming weeks.
