Liverpool fans have been demanding Jurgen Klopp subs two of their players after poor showings on Wednesday night.

The Reds went 1-0 down in the Merseyside derby against Everton courtesy of Jarrod Branthwaite's goal after a horrible passage of play.

Alisson did get something on the effort but the ball trickled over the line as Dominic Calvert-Lewin slid in.

It was a comedy of errors from Liverpool but the last mistake was particularly poor.

Alexis Mac Allister looked like he was about to clear the ball, only for it to be taken off his toe from Ibrahima Konate.

He put it right in the path of Branthwaite, who found the net.

Konate was blasted by Liverpool supporters online, with many wanting him out of the side.

One wrote: "Konate's been really disappointing of late. So needlessly physical in so many games."

A second added: "Mateta, DCL, Havertz. Konate sometimes feels massively out of his depth when you take away his physical supremacy."

A third vented: "Drop Konate and sell him in the summer, he’s been absolutely rotten this year."

Another said: "State of Konate since he returned from injury btw."

A fifth fumed: "Konate leave my f***ing club man."

But he wasn't the only one to get panned. Darwin Nunez was wasteful in front of goal once again, testing the patience of supporters.

A fan commented: "Nunez that is f***ing s*** and I’m starting to lose my f***ing patience with you. Absolute s***."

Another had enough, stating: "I’m done with Nunez at this stage now, I don’t care. An £85m striker with the IQ of a coconut who couldn’t stay onside or turn up in a meaningful game if his life depended on it."

A third joked: "Never let anyone stop you from achieving your goals. Nunez is a professional footballer."

A final person tweeted: "Yeah Darwin Nunez is gone in the summer for me, enough is genuinely enough."
