Liverpool fans have had enough of one player after watching his display against Accrington Stanley.

On Saturday afternoon, the Reds welcomed League Two side Accrington Stanley to Anfield as they kicked off their FA Cup campaign.

As expected, Arne Slot made plenty of changes to his starting XI but the likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Dominik Szoboszlai and Diogo Jota were all picked to start.

Liverpool dominated proceedings and eventually went ahead in the 29th minute through Jota, before Alexander-Arnold made it 2-0 in the 45th minute with a stunning strike.

In the second half, the visitors improved with Josh Woods rattling the woodwork with a shot.

With the 76 minutes on the clock, second half substitute Jayden Danns put the game to bed as he made it 3-0 from close range.

Federico Chiesa then netted his first goal for the club to make it 4-0 in the closing stages.

Reacting on social media during the match, Liverpool fans were less than impressed with Darwin Nunez's performance.

One fan said: "Darwin Nunez, he’s not good enough for this team."

Another tweeted: "Darwin Nunez can’t trap a ball against a League 2 side… he’s simply not good enough."

A third fan added: "Darwin Nunez will never be better than average."

Someone else wrote: "Darwin Nunez still cant impress against a league two side."

A fifth commented: "Darwin Nunez just makes me laugh at this point."

During the first half, fans also spotted that Liverpool star Harvey Elliott was left 'furious' with Nunez, who failed to play him in when he was in a good position during an attack.

On social media, one fan said: "Nunez shoots despite there being 3 people stood in front of him and Elliot in space to his right is fuming. Rightly so."

Despite a largely difficult afternoon, Nunez was the one who provided the assist for Jota's opener.

Liverpool will return to Premier League action on Tuesday night when they take on Nottingham Forest at the City Ground.
