Liverpool fans think Fabio Carvalho will not play for the club again after his comments about manager Jurgen Klopp.

Last summer, Carvalho completed his move from Fulham to Liverpool in a deal worth a reported £5 million.

The Portuguese found it tough to impress at Anfield as he only made four starts in the Premier League. In total, the 20-year-old made 22 appearances across all competitions, scoring three goals.

Ahead of the 23/24 campaign, Carvalho joined German Bundesliga side RB Leipzig on loan in order to get more minutes on the pitch.

However, Liverpool fans feel the midfielder’s Anfield career could potentially be over after his comments on Klopp.

Whilst speaking to The Athletic, Carvalho was asked whether he got any advice from the Liverpool boss ahead of his loan move.

He said: “I don’t really speak to him, so he didn’t give me any advice.

“I have to just learn as I go and I don’t think that’s a bad thing. I feel like that’s better anyway, for me to mature as a person and as a player.”

Fans were quick to react on social media.

One said: “And people still think Carvalho will play for us. He’s gone next season.”

Another tweeted: “Yeah he’s done at LFC. I feel bad for him hopefully he kicks on and has a good career.”

A third fan added: “Yea, have a feeling he ain't coming back.”

Someone else wrote: “That kind of attitude can you in trouble with many other managers not just Klopp.”

Whilst a fifth commented: “He should forget about his Liverpool dream as far as Klopp is still the manager.”

On why he found it difficult during his first season with Liverpool, Carvalho said: “I feel like the reason it hasn’t worked at Liverpool is because of the position I have been playing.

“I was told I’d come in and play as a 10 but [Liverpool] don’t really play with a 10 whereas here we play with two 10s.”
