Jude Bellingham sent Dominik Szoboszlai a message after the Liverpool player’s wonder strike against Leicester.

The Reds came from behind to dispatch Championship side Leicester 3-1 in the Carabao Cup third round on Wednesday evening.

Kasey McAteer gave the Foxes the lead just three minutes in, only for Cody Gakpo to claim the Reds' equaliser with a well-taken finish just after half-time.

Szoboszlai then edged Liverpool ahead moments after being introduced as a second-half substitute, arrowing an unstoppable strike in off the crossbar from distance.

And while Diogo Jota's nonchalant flick put the result beyond doubt, Szoboszlai’s second-half strike was the pick of the goals.

The Liverpool faithful have taken to the Hungarian since his summer arrival from RB Leipzig, while Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham appears to be among the 22-year-old's growing contingent of admirers.

After Szoboszlai posted a collection of pictures celebrating his goal on Instagram, Bellingham, who was a Liverpool target before his Los Blancos transfer, commented, “Szobooo”, accompanied by the rocket emoji.

Indeed, after the game, Szoboszlai told Liverpool's club media that the strike against Leicester was among the best he had ever scored.

He said: "It was very special. I don't know if it was the best goal, I scored one of my best in the national team and also in Salzburg.

"But one of the best for sure."

Moreover, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp also spoke about the Hungary international in his post-match press conference.

The German said: "Since the first minute of training he has been impressive. He is a top bloke, a really top guy.

"I don't have to tell him to shoot, he knows better than I - he's really good. That is a really good skill. [It was a] super goal."
