Liverpool fans on social media all made the same point following Yves Bissouma's sending off against Luton.

Tottenham are in action against Luton in their first game since their controversial victory over Liverpool last weekend.

Spurs dominated proceedings in the first-half but failed to score a goal, with Richarlison missing two gilt-edged chances to put his side in the lead.

Despite their dominance, Ange Postecoglou's team went into the break a man down after Bissouma was shown a red card in the stoppage time.

The Mali international picked up a caution for a foul before receiving another yellow card for a blatant dive.

His red card comes after Liverpool were reduced to nine men after Curtis Jones and Diogo Jota were sent off in their defeat at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

After Bissouma's dismissal, Liverpool fans online called the incident 'karma' as they took pleasure in the player's red card.

One X user wrote: "Luton are getting revenge for us."

A second tweeted: "Same invisible person who tripped Udogie against Jota."

A third joked: "Bissouma sent off with a double yellow. Second yellow for diving. If I speak..."

A fourth said: "Spurs getting punished for cheating. Karma will always hit you in the end."

Another commented: "It took one week for god to revenge for us."

Liverpool fans' joy was short lived as Spurs took the lead just seven minutes after the interval.

Micky van de Ven opened the scoring after converting from James Maddison's pass.
