Fabinho's proposed move to Saudi Arabia is already a 'done deal', media reports in the Gulf nation have claimed.

The 29-year-old Brazilian is being linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League, along with his teammate - club captain Jordan Henderson.

The Athletic claim Saudi club Al Ittihad are ready to approach Liverpool with a 'concrete offer' to buy Fabinho, while reports elsewhere have claimed Steven Gerrard's Al Ettifaq are interesting in signing Henderson.

Al Ittihad are reported to be preparing a £40m offer for Fabinho, who still has three years left on his contract at Anfield.

Liverpool have already allowed a number of experienced players to leave the club this summer, with Roberto Firmino, James Milner, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita all departing last month at the end of their contracts.

Firmino has already made the move to Saudi Arabian, joining Al Ahli on a free transfer following his departure from Anfield.

Liverpool must now decide whether to sell Fabinho before signing a replacement for the first-choice No 6.

"It is anticipated a decision will move quickly one way or the other," added the report.

Shock reports originating in Saudi Arabia claim that Fabinho's move to the country is a 'done deal'.

Saudi based outlet Neewssports, which is followed by more than 500,000 people on its Twitter account, posted a picture of Fabinho wearing the kit of Al Ittihad, alongside the caption: "Urgent. Deal done. Fabinho to Saudi Arabia."

No other information was provided.

Fabinho transfer clue spotted

But eagle-eyed fans have spotted a potential transfer clue on the Instagram account of Fabinho's wife, Rebecca Tavares.

Supporters noticed she was now following the Instagram account 'Welcome Saudi', which recommends hotels, restaurants and attractions to foreign visitors.

However, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp could be reluctant to part ways with Fabinho, particularly without signing a replacement first.

The Brazilian has been a key player for the Reds since joining in a £39m move from Monaco in 2018.

During his time at Anfield, Fabinho has won the Champions League, Premier League, Club World Cup, FA Cup and League Cup - making 219 appearances in all competitions.

While his form dipped last season, Fabinho was expected to play in an important role for the team in the upcoming campaign.

Liverpool now face the difficult decision over whether to sell the midfielder, with the start of the new season now just weeks away.

Klopp's side face Karlsruher in their opening pre-season friendly on Wednesday, with their first match of the Premier League season coming away at Chelsea on August 13.
