Lionel Messi stuns Inter Miami supporters with new look and fans are all saying the same thing

Inter Miami star Lionel Messi has got fans talking after being spotted with a new look.

After sitting out the latest international break, Messi was back in action over the weekend as Inter Miami took on Philadelphia Union in the MLS.

Javier Mascherano's men came away 2-1 winners thanks to goals from Robert Taylor and Messi. Daniel Gazdag was the scorer for the visitors.

Messi started on the bench and was brought on with 55 minutes on the clock, with the Argentine netting two minutes after entering the field.

Reacting on social media, fans spotted that Messi was rocking a new hairstyle.

In recent years, Messi has sported a much shorter haircut but on Saturday, was seen with longer hair, which reminded fans of his old style.

One fan said: "Lionel Messi is back to rocking his hairstyle from 2018."

Another tweeted: "Aura back."

A third fan added: "How does he look better now than 2018?"

Someone else wrote: "He’s winning the 2026 World Cup."

A fifth commented: "Looking fit and in better shape even now."

Another fan said: "Messi has his AURA back guys."

Speaking about Messi after the match, Mascherano said: "We wanted Leo to have minutes. The idea was to have him play for 30-35 minutes, with the added time he played more but he feels good.

"We didn't want to risk him by starting him because we thought we'd run a risk in doing that. Luckily he finished well, and that makes us very happy."

Inter Miami will be back in action on Thursday when they take on Los Angeles FC in the Concacaf Champions Cup quarter-final.

When asked if Messi will be involved, the Inter Miami boss added: "The plan is for him to recuperate and travel to Los Angeles. Today, the time that he played, he played because he was good.

"He wasn't for the full 90, but it did him well to play the 45 minutes including added time and if nothing weird happens, the plan is for him to travel."
