Jurgen Klopp's Revealing New Response When Asked About Taking Real Madrid Job

Jurgen Klopp has been linked with a move to the Bernabeu.

Jurgen Klopp has spoken about his future again amid reports linking him with a move to Real Madrid.

Last week, it was confirmed that Madrid had parted ways with Xabi Alonso.

A statement from the club read: "Real Madrid CF announces that, by mutual agreement between the club and Xabi Alonso, it has been decided to end his time as first team coach.

"Xabi Alonso will always have the affection and admiration of all Madrid fans because he is a Real Madrid legend and has always represented the values of our club. Real Madrid will always be his home. Our club thanks Xabi Alonso and his entire technical team for their work and dedication during this time and wishes them the best of luck in this new stage of their lives."

Former Liverpool and Madrid full-back Alvaro Arbeloa has since taken charge, with Los Blancos suffering a humiliating defeat against Albacete in the Copa del Rey.

However, Arbeloa did secure his first win against Levante on Saturday.

Looking ahead, the likes of Klopp and Zinedine Zidane have been linked with a move to Madrid.

Klopp, 58, has been away from the dugout since leaving Liverpool at the end of the 23/24 season and has recently been working as Red Bull's Head of Global Soccer.

Speaking recently to The Athletic, Klopp touched on the reports linking him with a move to Madrid.

After being left 'partly amused and partly exasperated' by the rumours, Klopp said: "I know I can coach a football team, but that doesn’t mean I have to do it until my last day.

"I wanted to do something different. Red Bull gave me an opportunity to find a role which we have been defining together, step by step. I’m in a place as a person where I’m completely at peace with where I am. I don’t want to be somewhere else."

He added: "I’ve got to know a lot of people who I didn’t know before. I’ve been to a lot of business meetings and learned words that I never knew before.

"It’s been a good time. One year in, five years of experience gained."

Speaking previously, the German stated: "This has absolutely nothing to do with me, and it didn't trigger anything for me either, which would probably have been the follow-up question.

"I was surprised, that's true - genuinely surprised. Then a few people messaged me, and I replied with various emails."
