Fans can't believe reporter's 'stupid' Jude Bellingham question to Niclas Fullkrug during post-match interview

Fans genuinely can't believe a reporter's question to Niclas Fullkrug about England star Jude Bellingham.

Germany beat Hungary 2-0 on Wednesday to record their second win in as many games at Euro 2024.

Their victory in Stuttgart saw the Germans book their spot in the next round of the tournament.

Germany face Switzerland on Sunday in their final group game ahead of the knockout stages.

And ahead of resuming their campaign, Fullkrug, who scored in his side's 5-1 thrashing of Scotland in their opener, fielded questions in a media scrum.

He was quizzed about his national team's progression to the next round and about his form.

The forward was also asked about Bellingham, who scored England's winner against Serbia last Sunday.

The reporter asked: "How impressed have you been with Jude Bellingham?"

To which the German replied: "Impressed me not."

Despite his ruthless answer, fans on social media were baffled with the reporter's choice of question to Fullkrug.

One X user wrote: "Musiala has set the bar so high any other player will look average in front of him."

A second tweeted: "Lol, Germans don't hype football players as brits do. They barely do it for their very own."

A third added: "Euros journalists are asking the weirdest questions."

A fourth said: "Just getting stupid now, why are you asking German players about Bellingham? Media absolutely love him."

Another commented: "Because He knows Musiala and Wirtz."

Just like the game against Scotland, Fullkrug was a second-half substitute versus Hungary.

But he was unable to get on the score-sheet, having bagged against the Scots.

As for Bellingham, he shone in his team's 1-0 victory over Serbia and is set to keep his place in the team when the Three Lions take on Denmark later today.
