It appears one of Jude Bellingham's old classmates has posted a number of his entries from their primary school leavers book – and it makes for brilliant reading.

The 20-year-old midfielder, who attended Hagley Primary School near Stourbridge, was a "fantastic young man" growing up, according to Vanessa Payne, his former teacher.

"Even then he had the aspiration to take his skill somewhere," Payne told BBC. "He's left a legacy here of sportsmanship and ambition and trying to be the best you can be."

She added: "He was kind, he was thoughtful and he was a good sport - and he was just somebody people wanted to be around."

The school's deputy headteacher, Rob Tindall, also praised the former student. "We are so proud of him, the fact he was only at this school not long ago - it's what dreams are made of," he said.

Before leaving the school in 2014, Bellingham penned a message in the leavers yearbook.

And one of those pages included a header saying: "When I grow up I want to be..."

So what did Jude aspire to be? According to the below pictures uploaded on TikTok, he wrote: "When I grow up I want to be a professional footballer for Barcelona and England."

Bellingham also said that his ultimate dream was to "have a football tour" with David Beckham, while the things that made him laugh were Adam Sandler movies.

Ironically, Bellingham signed for Barcelona's bitter rivals Real Madrid last summer in a deal worth £88.5 million plus add-ons.

And later this month, he will feature for England at Euro 2024 – just weeks after lifting the Champions League with Los Blancos.

"I've always dreamed of playing in these games," he told TNT Sports after the 2-0 win over Borussia Dortmund at Wembley.

"When it gets hard at times you start to wonder if it's all worth it - but nights like tonight make it all worth it.

"It's got to be up there in terms of the perfect season. I can't put it into words, it's the best night of my life."

Bellingham will link up with his England teammates on June 8 ahead of their Group C opener against Serbia.
