Former Arsenal goalkeeper Jens Lehmann has reportedly been charged after taking a chainsaw to his neighbour's garage in Germany.

According to publication Suddeutsche Zeitung, the 54-year-old former Gunner has been in dispute with his neighbour for some time and things have quickly escalated.

Wishing to seek a better view of the nearby lake, Lehmann is said to have taken the power tool to his nearby resident's garage in an attempt to resolve the matter.

The former Germany international, who was part of Arsenal's Invincibles squad in 2003/04, has denied all the allegations after a local prosecutor is said to have brought a number of charges against him.

He has, however, already been charged in regards to a matter that happened last July, when a security camera is said to have been tampered with by the former Schalke 'keeper.

Additionally, reports suggest Lehmann has also said to have sawn some of a roof beam off a garage, which is in mid-construction, with a chainsaw.

Having denied all of the recent charges brought against him, the now TV-pundit has taken to social media in an attempt to clear his name.

"The allegations made against me are not correct," Lehmann posted on Twitter.

"The fraud allegations made against me concern an unpaid parking ticket over €90. The damage, as always, is the enormous damage to reputation and disregard for privacy."

Lehmann spent five years at Arsenal having joined from Borussia Dortmund in 2003. He also enjoyed spells with AC Milan, Stuttgart and Schalke, before calling time on his career back in June 2010.

He also returned to Arsenal back in 2017 to help with coaching, but was subsequently remove following Unai Emery's arrival back in 2019.
