FPL managers convinced they've worked out best pick for new 'assistant mystery chip' as prices revealed

FPL managers convinced they've worked out best pick for new 'assistant mystery chip' as prices revealed

Fans have had their say as clubs turn their attentions to FA Cup fixtures giving FPL players a week to ponder over their selections.

Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers think they have already spotted the best pick as the new Assistant Manager chip prices have been revealed.

This weekend, FPL players will have a weekend off as clubs turn their attentions to FA Cup action which gives users a week to consider their selection ahead of Premier League gameweek 21.

But at the end of the month, the new assistant manager chip will be introduced. Earlier today the update was confirmed via the Premier League’s official website.

“The chip will be available from Gameweek 24 later this month and can be played at any point thereafter in 2024/25 Fantasy,” read the statement.

“When you activate the chip and choose your Assistant Manager, you will score points for their club's results for THREE Gameweeks in a row.

“Once the chip is activated, choosing your Assistant Manager does not cost a “free transfer”. But if you want to change your manager during this three-Gameweek period it will cost a transfer in exactly the same way as players.”

And fans were quick to point out their picks on social media with new West Ham boss Graham Potter favoured by many.

One said: "Potter surely is the best bargain in this..."

Another added: "Potter could be a bargain."

A third explained: "Feels like Potter could be top notch."

While a fourth added: "Glasner and Potter interesting."

A fifth commented: "If West Ham can find some end of season form at the end of the season then Potter could be an absolute bargain at 0.5m."

As a sixth exclaimed: "Some of these are mad. Amorim that low, Howe and Iraola that high. It seems you’ve just looked at the league table outside a couple. Should have averaged out the value of all their players as it should be based on squad not when teams are over or underachieving."
