The FA Cup third round draw has been simulated, with a number of eye-catching ties in English football's classic competition.

The second round was completed over the weekend and now the action hots up with the addition of 44 clubs from the Premier League and the Championship.

The official draw will take place on Monday at 19:00 GMT at holders Manchester United's Old Trafford, live on BBC Two - with former strikers Mark Hughes and Dion Dublin tasked with picking out the balls.

But a simulation has taken place beforehand, throwing up a whole host of tasty clashes for many different reasons. Holders United will host Ipswich Town in a repeat of Ruben Amorim's first game in charge of the club, while Arsenal welcome Peterborough United to the Emirates Stadium.

One of the favourites will be facing an early elimination as Manchester City and Liverpool will lock horns at the Etihad Stadium and Chelsea will travel to play Wayne Rooney's Plymouth Argyle.

Two sides from Non League made it to the third round and both have been rewarded with mouthwatering ties against Premier League opposition. Tamworth, 16th in the National League, welcome Spurs to the Lamb Ground after knocking out Burton Albion on penalties and Dagenham and Redbridge have a home clash against Fulham to look forward to following on from an away win at AFC Wimbledon.
