Some tasty ties in that draw

The headline ties there are Arsenal taking on Liverpool while Newcastle are taking on fierce local rivals Sunderland.

However, it's a shame that the likes of Maidstone and Eastleigh have not been gifted with a tie higher up the pyramid.

Manchester City - the reigning champions

Manchester City won last year’s competition as part of a historic FA Cup, Premier League and Champions League treble. Pep Guardiola’s men will be hoping for an easy home draw ahead to kick off this season’s cup.

Meanwhile, City’s local rivals and last term’s beaten finalists, Manchester United, fared well in cup competitions in the 22/23 campaign and will be targeting this year’s FA Cup.
