Everton fans have already spotted a huge difference between David Moyes and Sean Dyche.

After a poor run of form, Dyche was sacked by Everton earlier in the month, replaced by returning manager Moyes, who originally left the Toffees back in 2013.

Since the Scotsman's return, Everton fell to a 1-0 defeat against Aston Villa but recorded their first victory of the second Moyes era on Sunday.

Taking on Tottenham Hotspur at Goodison Park, goals from Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Iliman Ndiaye plus an own goal by Archie Gray sealed a 3-2 victory. Dejan Kulusevki and Richarlison were on the scoresheet for the visitors.

After watching Moyes' post-match interview, Everton fans were quick to point out the fact that he was positive in his words and was picking out players for praise, which they felt Dyche rarely did.

The Scotsman praised Jake O'Brien and Jesper Lindstrom while delivering an overall assessment of the match against Spurs.

One fan said on social media: "By 1 minute 30 David Moyes singled out praise for Jake O'Brien and Jesper Lindstrom when they hadn't been the point of the question. There's something in that. Giving players confidence who maybe need it. Football management. Man management."

Another tweeted: "Such a refreshing change of pace and will do some of these players wonders."

A third fan added: "Brilliant. What a difference a manager makes. Honest assessment of the good and bad. So happy he’s back."

"It was brilliant to get a win. It was a great feeling to go down the tunnel 3-0 up at half-time and for the supporters to feel that they had witnessed a really good first-half performance."

Someone else wrote: "What a refreshing post match interview. Lots of work to do but also talking up the positives!!"

A fifth commented: "Isn’t it great to hear your manager being positive and giving the players praise for their performances and the result. He believes in them and that must give them real confidence and belief in what DM and his Coaches are asking them to do."

As a result of the victory, Everton are now four points clear of the Premier League relegation zone.

The Toffees are back in Premier League action this weekend when they take on Brighton and Hove Albion at the AMEX on Saturday afternoon.
