England fans have demanded Gareth Southgate to start one player against Serbia after seeing an outrageous goal in training.

On Sunday night, the Three Lions will begin their Euro 2024 journey at the Veltins-Arena in Gelsenkirchen against Serbia.

Heading into the tournament, England are one of the favourites to go all the way after finishing second three years ago to Italy.

Ahead of the match against Serbia, Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze has delighted fans after scoring a brilliant goal in training.

The 25-year-old showed great improvisation to flick the ball into the back of the net after a pass from Jude Bellingham.

Reacting on social media, supporters have demanded Eze to start against Serbia.

One said: “START HIM START HIM START HIM.”

Another tweeted: “Start him over Foden.”

A third fan added: “I will never stop running Eze prop, this guy is a mercurial talent.”

Someone else wrote: “So much to offer in attack.”

A fifth commented: “Just what he does if you didn’t know get to know, my local baller.”

Another fan said: “Oi slow that down and watch the outrageous technique on that finish, guys a joke of a player.”

Speaking recently to the Daily Mail, Eze said: “It’s not just about the 11. It’s about the whole team, the culture, the collective. You win the tournament as a collective. Everyone knows that, everyone wants to understand that.

“It’s putting your ego to the side and being able to focus on what’s important for the team. If you have that type of culture, which we do, you’ve got the best chance. The manager spoke about ‘finishers’.”

He added: “We call them finishers, we know that. The players that come onto the pitch, there is a mentality about it, there’s a way to go about it. There’s importance in that role, it’s not just about the 11.”
