Fans have been left in stitches after Cristiano Ronaldo appeared to imitate Lionel Messi during a YouTube video with his partner Georgina Rodríguez.

As all good things do, the iconic rivalry between Ronaldo and Messi is now dwindling out, with both players now playing outside of Europe.

Ronaldo, now 39, continues to score week in and week out for Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr, scoring 35 goals in 31 games last season, while Messi is the face of the MLS with Inter Miami.

With their careers sadly entering the winter months, both players will be planning for life after football, and Ronaldo has already appeared to shift his focus elsewhere by launching his own YouTube channel.

At the time of writing the channel named 'UR Cristiano' has gained an insane 56.6 million subscribers, breaking the record for quickest to 100k and one million in the process.

In one of his latest uploads, Ronaldo made a joke that caught all his viewers by surprise as the Portugal captain mimicked one of Messi's most infamous phrases.

During the video, Ronaldo said "Que miras bobo?" which translates 'what are you looking at, fool?'.

Messi is too influential 🐐😂pic.twitter.com/8CBkWetVJI

While this might not seem like an obvious reference to his Argentine rival, the rather rude remark is what the former Barcelona star said to Netherlands striker Wout Weghorst after the heated World Cup quarter-final in 2022.

The clip has since gone viral on social media with fans of both Messi and Ronaldo having their say online.

One fan wrote: "This proves two things: 1. Messi is the most influential player in the world 2. Ronaldo is always thinking about Messi."

Another replied: "All it shows is he's got a good sense of humour, that's why he's the goat."

A third added: "He is undoubtedly Messi's biggest fan."

A fourth fan commented: "He's just making a joke lol, everyone needs to chill."
