At the age of 40, he is still going strong as he recently lifted the UEFA Nations League with Portugal.
Meanwhile, Frenchman Mbappe is looking to take over from the likes of Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, having had a brilliant start to life at Madrid.
In his prime, Ronaldo was one of the fastest players on earth. Now, Mbappe has been labelled as one of modern football's speedsters.

So, who is the quicker player out of Ronaldo and Mbappe?
To settle the debate, Runner Star 3D has put the pair in a 100-metre simulation sprint race.
At first, Mbappe clocked a respectable time of 11.05, Ronaldo then clocked 11.15.
After their individual runs, Mbappe and Ronaldo raced each other.

Back in 2024, Mbappe stated that it would have been 'fun' to play on the same team as Ronaldo.
He said to beIN Sports: "I've played with great players: Lionel Messi, Neymar, [Antoine] Griezmann, [Paul] Pogba, [Karim] Benzema...

"It would have been fun to play with Cristiano Ronaldo -- it's going to be very difficult now -- but I was lucky enough to play against him, a legend of the sport."
In his first season with Los Blancos, Mbappe managed 43 goals and five assists in 56 appearances across all competitions.
Although his stats were good, Madrid only managed to win the UEFA Super Cup as they were beaten to the La Liga title by rivals Barcelona.
