Thiago Silva's wife Belle posts public apology to Chelsea after Mauricio Pochettino meeting

Thaigo Silva's wife Belle has posted a public apology to Chelsea for her recent social media activity.

On Tuesday, Mauricio Pochettino revealed he had spoken to Silva after the Brazilian's wife, Belle, appeared to call for Chelsea to sack their head coach in a social media post.

The Blues boss has come under significant pressure after conceded four goals to lose to Liverpool and Wolves in the space of a week. The club are currently languishing in 11th in the Premier League, and enduring another dismal season under Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital's ownership.

After Chelsea's loss on Sunday, Belle took to social media and said: "It’s time to change. If you wait any longer it will be too late".

Most took this to be a call to Chelsea's board to part ways with Pochettino.

Belle however, has since come out to apologise for her outburst.

In a tweet, Belle said: "I'm sorry that my personal outburst as a passionate Chelsea fan has caused such an impact. I'm passionate about the team, I thrive on victories and I'm saddened by defeats.

"We all want the same thing, a winning team, come on Chelsea!!"

Pochettino was asked about Belle's past comments and admitted that Silva came to talk to him on Tuesday.

The Argentinian said in his press conference: "He came today to talk with me. I am not going to talk about the way we were talking.

"The important thing is he came and wanted to talk with me and of course, you know me after more than 10 years, how I am. We are very strong coaching staff and very strong in our way to operate and the way that we are. he came to talk, we talk and that was private and that is it. Private things for me we keep inside."
