Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino was spotted nutmegging his own player in training ahead of the Blues' Premier League clash against Arsenal.

Pochettino's side hosted the Gunners in a London derby on Saturday evening, looking to secure their third Premier League win in a row.

The Blues have started to flick into gear in recent weeks with consecutive away victories at Fulham and Burnley, and were hard at work in training ahead of Saturday's clash, which ended 2-2.

Pochettino is still dealing with a number of injury issues, with Ben Chilwell, Christopher Nkunku and Romeo Lavia among those still in the midst of long-term absences.

That has meant opportunities for younger players, with Ian Maatsen, Lesley Ugochukwu and Alex Matos among those to benefit from increased playing time or matchday squad opportunities.

One player yet to make his senior Blues debut is young Brazil forward Deivid Washington, who joined the club from Santos in the summer.

The 18-year-old has featured for the U21s, however, scoring against Manchester City, and has trained with the first team alongside several appearances on Chelsea's bench.

Before the Arsenal game, he was involved in a slightly awkward moment when he was nutmegged by his own manager in training.

Footage posted by Chelsea's official website showed Pochettino getting involved in a session. He received the ball, but initially failed to trap it.

That meant some improvisation was necessary, and the Argentinian flicked the ball with his back leg - straight through the legs of Washington.

He quickly patted the Brazilian forward on the back after a brief moment of celebration as the session continued.

The behind-the-scenes footage also showed Pochettino interacting with the rest of his players as they completed training drills in the indoor training centre, with Armando Broja, Thiago Silva and Cole Palmer among those doing the more intense drills.
