Chelsea fans ruthlessly take aim at Mauricio Pochettino despite win over Crystal Palace

Chelsea fans are angry even though they beat Crystal Palace.

#PochOut momentarily trended on social media as Chelsea fans slammed Mauricio Pochettino despite their win over Crystal Palace.

Chelsea needed a late penalty to beat Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday.

Mykhailo Mudryk opened the scoring for the hosts, with Michael Olise levelling proceedings before the break. With one minute left of normal time, Noni Madueke converted a penalty to make it 2-1.

The Blues climbed into the top half of the league table following the result, but the victory didn't stop Chelsea fans from making their feelings clear about Pochettino.

Chelsea supporters took exception to the Argentine gaffer's tactics in the second-half and the substitutions he made during game, which included taking off Christopher Nkunku.

One X user wrote: "Poch really just took off a natural LB and our makeshift LB to bring on another CB put a CB at RB and move our RB to LB. GET. HIM. OUT."

A second tweeted: "I’d rather get Lampard back over this Spurs reject."

A third fumed: "Yeah I’m officially #PochOut this is unacceptable."

A fourth added: "Okay, I have seen enough, #PochOut."

A fifth commented: "What even is this shape? Just 11 players out there. I'm done, he's done. #PochOut."

Another said: "This in game management by Poch is en route to go down as one of the worst I’ve seen, how can you make the team worse."

Under Pochettino this season, Chelsea have lost a staggering eight games, winning just seven matches.

They have a measly 25 points on the board as they occupy 10th place.

Chelsea return to action on Saturday when they face Luton Town.
