Mauricio Pochettino snapped during his post-match interview as he was left fuming with the controversial VAR decision in Chelsea's thrilling draw with Aston Villa.

Chelsea came from two-goals down to earn a hard-fought point at Villa Park on Saturday.

Second-half goals from Noni Madueke and Conor Gallagher saw the visitors level proceedings after Marc Cucurella (own-goal) and Morgan Rogers gave the hosts a two-goal lead in the opening 45 minutes.

But the Blues thought they had completed the comeback when Axel Disasi headed home in stoppage time.

However, his goal was ruled out following a VAR review as Benoit Badiashile was adjudged to have fouled Diego Carlos in the build-up.

The decision to scratch off Chelsea's goal angered Pochettino, who snapped at an interviewer during his post-match interview on TNT Sports.

After claiming VAR is "ruining the image of English football", the reporter said: "You're clearly frustrated about it..."

Before she could finish her question, Pochettino interrupted and exclaimed: "I’m not frustrated, I am relaxed, I am calm."

He added: "I want to say nothing wrong. It’s only to help. The performance was very good and we played really well it is true in the first half we conceded easy.

"The things we tried to change the team didn't concede too much. To play Villa who are fighting for the top four I am pleased with the team and the players were good.

"I think that it was what we expected and today was a good opportunity against a good team. Now, we have to move on and it will be in the headlines with the disallowed goal."

Chelsea were on course to move above West Ham United to eighth place in the table until VAR intervened.

They currently occupy ninth place, with 48 points on the board.

Pochettino's side resume their league campaign on Thursday against London rivals Tottenham.
