Chelsea's bold new kit for 24/25 season has emerged as things go from bad to worse

Chelsea's bold new kit for 24/25 season has emerged as things go from bad to worse

Yikes.

Chelsea's home kit for next season has caused controversy after leaking online.

Mauricio Pochettino's side are starting to put together a decent run of form and are unbeaten in their last three games.

They advanced to the FA Cup fourth round with a comfortable 4-0 win over Preston North End on Saturday evening and face Middlesbrough in the Carabao Cup semi-finals on Tuesday.

Despite that, Chelsea are still 10th in the Premier League table and miles off where they'd want to be after pumping in over £1 billion under owner Todd Boehly.

While performances haven't been up to standard, Chelsea have at least looked stylish getting about the pitch.

They confirmed Infinite Athletes as a sponsor earlier this season and have a home shirt with white on it, a nice tweak on the usual formula.

Per the ever-reliable Footy Headlines, kit developers Nike will be bolder than ever with Chelsea's home shirt for the 2024/2025 campaign.

The shirt will be blue and white with a wave design across the front and red lines around the collar.

While it's not the final design of the shirt, it's likely it'll look similar.

Chelsea are expecting to be active in the transfer window despite signing several big-money names over the summer.

Following a defeat to Everton last month, Pochettino called for heavy investment to keep any hopes of European qualification alive.

He said: "After the first half of the season, we need to check. That is the reality. If we are not receiving enough, maybe we need to do some movement.

"That is the thing to analyse with the sporting directors, to see if we can change this dynamic and improve in the second half of the season.

"We need to be more aggressive. Then it's a massive assessment and when the transfer window opens, we will see what we can do.

"I don't say if I am going to ask for more or less players. It's to see if the perception matches the reality.

"We are missing something. We need to improve our reality."
