Cole Palmer has sent a warning to Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers wanting to select him in their team.
The return of the Premier League season on Friday also marks a new start for FPL managers across the world.
Indeed, ahead of the season opener between Liverpool and Bournemouth on Friday, managers will be tinkering their line-ups, hoping to get a perfect blend of goals, assists and clean sheets into their team.

Beyond the obvious premium picks of Mohamed Salah and Erling Haaland, one player certain to make a spate of line ups is Chelsea’s Palmer.
The England international is Chelsea’ main man, having wracked up 22 goals and 11 assists in his debut top flight campaign with the Blues, followed by 15 goals and nine assists as Enzo Maresca’s side qualified for the Champions League last term.

While Palmer, who is Chelsea’s penalty taker, looks a sure bet to record a 200+ FPL points tally for the first successive season, the 23-year-old admitted he wasn’t happy with how much he would cost managers.
On his £10.5m price tag, Palmer told the Premier League: “[It’s a bit] dear isn’t it.”
When asked if players of the game should include Palmer in their team, the Chelsea star replied: “If they want points”.
It was then suggested that Palmer would "guarantee goals”, a claim which the Blues attacker coolly responded to by shrugging his shoulders and saying, “We’ll see, won’t we”.

Palmer’s price tag certainly appears expensive when compared to Liverpool’s creator and chief Florian Wirtz being valued at a mere £8.5m.
While he is yet to kick a ball in the Premier League, the German international claimed some 46 goal contributions (21 goals, 25 assists) in 63 Bundesliga matches in the past two seasons with Bayer Leverkusen.
Meanwhile, his numbers at Champions League and international level are just as impressive.
