Several youngsters have struggled to succeed at Chelsea before finding success elsewhere, including the likes of Mohamed Salah and Kevin De Bruyne; however, in this case one of their former starlets has failed to make an impact in Serie A.
Famously, Salah would make the journey to the Italian top flight to find regular first-team football, impressing while there before making his move to Anfield, where he would help the club lift two Premier League titles and a Champions League.
De Bruyne would do the same, but his period outside the Premier League was in the Bundesliga, where he impressed for Wolfsburg before Manchester City would make him part of their squad, going on to win six Premier League titles, two FA Cups and a Champions League.
While this Chelsea starlet would not immediately head to Serie A to breathe new life into his career, as he first went to Brighton and Hove Albion, his trip to the continent has not worked out.

Tariq Lamptey would join Fiorentina in September 2025 for a reported €6 million from the Seagulls, but it would be a season in which he would hope to forget.
The Ghana international suffered an anterior cruciate ligament tear during a match against Como on September 21, which would effectively end his season, having only made two appearances for the club.
Now, he and Fiorentina have mutually agreed to terminate his contract with the Italian club, confirming their decision.
Lamptey would have hoped to make an impression in Serie A this season to help him in being named part of the Ghana squad for the World Cup as the African nation prepares to face England, Croatia and Panama in Group L.
The 25-year-old had impressed at times in his stint at Brighton before making his move to Fiorentina, but he struggled to find consistent minutes at the Seagulls, which will have helped in his decision to move to Serie A.
Now, with still several years left in his career, it remains to be seen where his next club will be, as there will be several interested clubs in England and throughout Europe in bringing him to the club, but only once he has fully recovered from his injury.
