Lois Openda accused of aiming X-rated insult at Dani Carvajal as Real Madrid fans call for suspension

Lois Openda accused of aiming X-rated insult at Dani Carvajal as Real Madrid fans call for suspension

Lois Openda and Dani Carvajal clashed in an intense moment.

Real Madrid fans are calling for Lois Openda to be suspended for his alleged insult at Dani Carvajal.

Real beat RB Leipzig 2-1 on aggregate to book their spot in the next round of the Champions League.

They drew 1-1 at the Bernabeu on Wednesday to advance to the quarter-finals.

Jude Bellingham set up Vinicius Junior for his side's goal as Willi Orban levelled three minutes later.

Elsewhere in the match, Openda and Carvajal clashed in an explosive moment.

Openda was bundled to the ground as Carvajal stood over him, seemingly telling him to get back up.

The Belgium star rose to his feet and immediately confronted the defender.

He hurled abuse at Carvajal before Antonio Rudiger separated the players.

Openda is accused to have said: "I will f**k your wh*re mother."

Considering Bellingham's red card against Valencia last weekend, Real fans want action to be taken against the Leipzig forward.

One X user wrote: "He should be suspended for two matches."

A second tweeted: "He should be suspended."

A third added: "He should be given a long suspension. That's ridiculous."

Carvajal's frustrations at Openda could reflect his side's lacklustre performance.

Carlo Ancelotti bemoaned the 'slow' and 'very stiff' set up from his team.

"The idea was to press more and to bring more energy, but the team played very slow. No pressing, slow passing, little verticality and side to side passing," he said.

"We were bad. Very stiff, the block was too deep. With the ball, we were very slow, not vertical. It was a bad night. We have to say it."

Despite the underwhelming performance against Leipzig, Real will be in the hat for next Friday's Champions League quarter-final draw.

Los Blancos, who are seven points clear of second-placed Girona in La Liga, resume their league campaign on Sunday when they host Celta Vigo.
