Arsenal fans are blasting Ronald Araujo for his reckless tackle on Gabriel Jesus during their friendly match.

The Gunners bounced back from their defeat to Manchester United by beating Barcelona 5-3 on Thursday.

Bukayo Saka, Kai Havertz, Leandro Trossard (x2) and Fabio Vieira, who scored a stunner, all got the score-sheet as the Premier League side secured a big win at the SoFi Stadium.

The victory, however, would have been marred if Gabriel Jesus had sustained a serious injury following the tackle made by Araujo.

Luckily for Mikel Arteta and Arsenal fans alike, the Brazilian forward escaped a serious injury, though the incident left Arsenal supporters fuming at the Uruguayan defender.

Araujo steamed into the Brazilian forward and completely took out his opponent with a very clumsy, high tackle.

Needless to say, Arsenal fans didn't like the 24-year-old's robust challenge on Jesus.

One Twitter user wrote: "He didn’t even give a foul let alone a card for that."

A second commented: "Should be a red card and 7 game suspension."

A third added: "Araujo should really stop this gimmick it’s only a friendly there’s a time and place for it he’s a weirdo."

A Manchester United fan referenced Lisandro Martinez, tweeting: "If he was 5'7 and Argentine we'd see everyone on the timeline calling him names."

Another said: "I'm glad we slapped them 5-3. This is not cool."

Araujo somehow avoided a card from the match referee, with Jesus fortunately unharmed.

You can understand Arsenal fans' frustrations over the tackle considering the nature of the game. It was just a friendly match, but Araujo clearly didn't get the memo.

Did he cross the line with his tackle on Jesus? Let us know what you think.
