Arsenal fans have been reacting on social media after the Gunners were dumped out of the Champions League by Paris Saint Germain.

On Wednesday night, Mikel Arteta's men arrived at the Parc des Princes looking to overturn a 1-0 deficit.

Despite dominating the first half, Arsenal fell behind with 27 minutes on the clock after Fabian Ruiz scored a beauty.

In the second half, Achraf Hakimi made it 2-0 in the 72nd minute, which seemingly put the tie to bed.

Reacting to the full-back's goal, ex-Arsenal star Martin Keown said on TNT Sports: "Hakimi is a right-back in the centre-forward position. It's as good a finish as you will see, he sweeps it into the corner, an emphatic finish. If you hesitate against this lot you get absolutely punished."

However, Bukayo Saka gave the Gunners hope after scoring with 76 minutes on the clock.

In the end, PSG managed to hold on to win 2-1 on the night, securing a 3-1 victory on aggregate.

Reacting on social media, Arsenal fans were less than happy with the performance of midfielder Thomas Partey.

One said: "And that is why Thomas Partey needs to go. Just an unreliable footballer in everything."

Another tweeted: "Thomas Partey has had a stinker."

A third fan added: "Thomas Partey dropping an all time stinker."

Someone else wrote: "Thomas Partey playing with Timberlands on."

A fifth commented: "Thomas partey has cost Arsenal both games, time for him to leave."

Another fan said: "I thought Thomas partey was the solution for today match. But two error leading to goal mann."

As a result of their victory, PSG will now take on Italian Serie A giants Inter Milan in the final, which will take place in Munich on May 31.

Arsenal will be back in Premier League action this weekend when they take on champions Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday afternoon.
