Two of Arsenal's top players couldn't hold back their anger as they seemingly fell out of the Premier League title race after drawing with Nottingham Forest.

On Wednesday, Arsenal made a major blunder in the Premier League title race as they failed to score a goal at the City Ground, leading to a 0-0 draw with a high-flying Nottingham Forest side.

It got worse for the Gunners as Liverpool comfortably beat Newcastle United 2-0 at Anfield to put themselves 13 point clear on top of the table with just 11 matches left in the season.

In the wake of the massive results, fans have noticed that two of Arsenal's biggest players were involved in a heated argument following the disappointing result against Forest.

With the likes of Gabriel Jesus, Kai Havertz, Gabriel Martinelli and star player Bukayo Saka all out of the match with injury, Arsenal were forced to deploy Mikel Merino up front against Forest.

But efforts from the Spaniard and his teammates were in vain, leading to clear frustrations from both Declan Rice and Gabriel Magalhaes who were seen arguing with each other as they left the pitch on Wednesday evening.

Once the full-time whistle was blown, fans spotted Rice shouting towards the Brazilian defender as they left the field in a heated exchange.

The England midfielder hit the first man with a free kick late in the contest, so perhaps this is what the two men discussed post-match.

Ahead of the match, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta addressed their issues up front, admitting that he believes that injuries and suspensions is what has held them back from winning the Premier League title this season.

“I think we have made big strides this season,” revealed the Spanish manager.

“Big time. Because we should be in a very different position with everything that has happened.

“There is not a team in Premier League history with five red cards and the amount of injuries that we have that are in the position that we are today. It’s one of my proudest moments but this group could have gone (signals downhill).

“That (the title) will be decided at the end of the season. We have to understand the circumstances that we had as well and we are still where we are. We are not here to justify anything, we are here to win."
