Arsenal will complete an unprecedented transfer window if they make one more signing after Viktor Gyokeres deal.
The Swedish striker is expected to undergo his medical this weekend before completing a £63.8 million transfer from Sporting CP, ending Arsenal's long-running pursuit for a striker.
Since leaving Championship side Coventry for €20 million (£17.5 million) in 2023, Gyokeres has been a revelation in Portugal.
He scored an outstanding 97 goals in 102 games, which also attracted the interest of Manchester United but the Swede made it clear that he wanted to play in the Champions League and join Arsenal.

He will be the sixth addition to the Emirates this summer following Kepa Arrizabalaga, Christian Norgaard, Martin Zubimendi, Noni Madueke and Cristhian Mosquera.
If Arsenal make a seventh signing after Gyokeres it would be their busiest transfer window since the summer of 2001.

That year they signed seven players, including Sol Campbell and Giovanni van Bronckhorst but it was before the current system of a summer and winter transfer window was introduced.

You have to go back to 1997 to find the last time that the Gunners brought in eight first-team players.
That year, they brought in Marc Overmars, Emmanuel Petit and Matthew Upson among others in a splurge that ultimately helped wrestle the Premier League title from United.
Arsenal's busiest summer in recent years was 2021, when Mikel Arteta spent £142 million following a tough start to life at the Emirates.
That window included the purchases of Ben White, Martin Odegaard and Aaron Ramsdale.

Will Arsenal make another signing?
It definitely cannot be ruled out.
In his first press conference of Arsenal's pre-season tour of Singapore and Hong Kong, Arteta called for more additions.

He said: "In terms of numbers, we are short and we have to improve the depth and quality of the squad. We are constantly looking in the market.
"Until that happens, [we] focus on the players we have - and I'm very pleased with what I have seen in the last 10-15 days."
Since then, they have signed Cristhian Mosquera, who is a young defender from Valencia.
And the deal for Gyokeres is expected to be finalised over the weekend.

But that has not ended the speculation linking Arsenal with further signings.
One of the names most strongly linked is Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze, who is appreciated for his versatility in attacking positions and is said to have told friends who he expects to sign for this summer.
The 27-year-old has a £60 million release clause in his contract but Arsenal would like to try and negotiate it down if they made an approach.
North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur have also been linked with Eze's signature, along with Chelsea and Bayern Munich.
