Ivan Toney's stats last season compared to Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah, there's only one winner

One player comes out on top.

Ivan Toney's 2022/23 stats have been compared to that of Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah, and there is a clear winner.

On Monday, the Mirror claimed that Arsenal were stepping up their interest in Toney ahead of the January transfer window.

The Gunners are thought to be weighing up a move for the Brentford striker in an attempt to bolster their title challenge.

Meanwhile, Thomas Frank admitted the Bees would to be open to a sale, but will demand at least £60million for the Englishman, who has recently resumed training after serving half of his eight month ban for breaching the FA's betting regulations.

As it stands, Mikel Arteta has both Jesus and Nketiah at his disposal, but the pair failed to get on the scoresheet against Tottenham despite having opportunities, raising questions over whether Arsenal need a more prolific centre-forward.

Squawka have since compared statistics between all three strikers, and Ivan Toney comes out on top in all the key areas.

Toney leads the way for goals, non-penalty goals, conversion rate and aerial duels, making him a more attractive target man than what Arsenal currently have available to them.

In addition, he is only marginally behind Jesus for assists, despite playing in a Brentford side which scored 30 goals fewer than the Gunners last season.

It remains to be seen whether Arsenal will go after Toney in January, but transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has since added fuel to speculation that Toney could move to north London with a cryptic social media post.

Meanwhile, the Englishman has already admitted he likes watching Arsenal during an episode on the Diary Of A CEO podcast.

“I have been a Liverpool fan my whole life, but I have liked Arsenal," the forward said. "I like watching Arsenal and how they play and kind of how passionate the fans are."
