Kai Havertz made history in Arsenal's 6-0 demolition of Sheffield United on Monday night.

The Germany international notched Arsenal's fourth goal inside 25 minutes at Bramall Lane, moving to eight strikes in all competitions for the Gunners.

The likes of Martin Odegaard, Gabriel Martinelli, Declan Rice and Ben White were also on target but it was Havertz who grabbed a historic goal.

Havertz produced a fine finish past Ivo Grbic and according to Sky Sports, his goal is the 150,000th in English top-flight history.

The milestone is a big one for the former Chelsea forward, who is now performing consistently following a £65 million summer switch.

Arsenal were 5-0 up at half-time before White made it six with a superb strike from outside the box in the 58th minute.

And another high-scoring victory ensured they made history as a club.

The North London outfit became the first team in English football history to score at least five goals in three consecutive away games.

They also scored five away at Burnley, following up a 6-0 trouncing at West Ham's London Stadium the previous week.

It was always on the cards against Sheff United, who are now the first team in English football league history to concede at least five goals in four consecutive home games in all competitions.

Brighton scored five against them on two occasions - while Aston Villa won 5-0 at the start of February.

Arsenal have been in sensational form since a mid-season trip to Dubai, winning their last seven league games on the trot.

Mikel Arteta believes his side are in the best moment under him since he took charge in 2019.

"I've seen a lot of teams struggling against Sheffield United, it's really difficult to open them up," he said, as per talkSPORT.

"But from the beginning we showed that positivity, that quality as well. In short spaces we were really good and we looked a threat.

"The players, the form they're in, they're confident, the chemistry, the determination that they are showing in every ball.

"They want more and they still believe that they can improve because we can improve in certain things and it's important that we maintain that.

"Without looking at the numbers it's probably the best that we've been but it has to be at the end of the season and we are focused on that."
